Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care – a Professional Development and Home Caregiver Course
Taught by Barbara Rimorin, a certified Alzheimer’s and dementia care trainer and practitioner in NJ, this seven-hour course will give you the edge in successfully providing dementia care in the long-term care setting. These include assisted living communities, adult day services, nursing homes, or other facilities for seniors. Barbara teaches this course throughout New Jersey in a variety of care settings.
This a required course for those seeking certification as certified dementia practitioner. It is approved by the National Council Certified Dementia Practitioners, New Jersey Board of Nursing, New Jersey Board of Social Workers, and the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services. 7 CEUs
Certified assisted living administrators, licensed nursing home administrators, registered nurses and certified nursing aides can earn seven (7) CEUs upon completion. Physicians are encouraged to attend, and home health aide and medication aides will also gain valuable knowledge from the course.
This course is also appropriate for caregivers in the home and family members who are struggling with what to do. Everyone who enrolls will learn effective strategies and gain insights into dementia care. Barbara also provides informational seminars in long-term care facilities for family members of residents.
